Floor Coating Systems that offer Heavy-Duty Protection from Chemicals and Tires
When operating an auto service center, one has to expect their floors to get roughed up by spills from oil, coolants, and other fluids, in addition to tire traffic and dropped tools. For auto service centers that need a floor coating system that can take a beating, we recommend the DQB-3 or DQB-4 and DSB-3 or DSB-5 systems.
Both systems pair a durable, chemical-resistant epoxy mid-coat with an equally tough polyurethane topcoat which boasts remarkable resistance from damage caused by tires and fluids. The broadcast sand or quartz layer provides impact protection by dispersing the force laterally.
The primary difference between the DQB and DSB systems is the broadcast medium within their mid-coats. The DQB system relies on a quartz broadcast medium to provide a more decorative multi-colored look over the DSB sand broadcast . Both systems offer a textured finish which provides noticeable anti-slip qualities.
DQB-4 and DSB-5 have an increased level of protection in an extra 100% solids epoxy “grout” coat prior to the urethane finish coat, providing a more even appearance slightly less non-slip
Low-Odor, Low-VOC and Quick Return-to-Service Floor Coating System
Auto service center floors need to be able to quickly return to service after recoating jobs to ensure that workers can continue servicing customers’ vehicles. For auto service center owners who want floors that can quickly return to service, we recommend the DQB-2 and DSB-2 systems.
The DQB-2 and DSB-2 systems rely on polyaspartic technology that boasts a remarkably low odor and a gloss finish. The broadcast binders cure rapidly to allow a quick recoat while the specially formulated polyaspartic finish coat cures at a slower rate to allow time to finish the floor without unsightly roller marks. This polyaspartic allows applicators the time to get the look and feel they want during application while benefiting from substantial abrasion resistance and very low odor.
