Since 1974, CFI has delivered trend-setting Alseal® aviation coatings demanded and specified by the major OEMs for flight turbine engines. We delivered our first patented product to what is now Rolls-Royce Indianapolis; that product is still in use today. These coatings meet the most demanding requirements to battle water and ice, salt air, jet fuel, and very hot exhaust gases to help prevent premature failure due to corrosion and oxidation.
After more than a decade of development, in 2017 CFI was granted a patent for Alseal 5K, the first internal turbine engine coating to be available without chromium or other known carcinogens, HAPs, or VOCs. CFI continues to demonstrate such industry leadership through continuous research and development in a constant effort to make aviation safer for all.
